The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) includes the water drainage network of the United States. The data provides information about naturally occurring and constructed bodies of surface water (lakes, ponds, and reservoirs), paths through which water flows (canals, ditches, streams, and rivers), and related entities such as point features (springs, wells, stream gages, and dams). The Georgia dataset was published March 26th, 2021. The NHD was edited to display marsh data for Chatham County. The original shapefile can be viewed and downloaded at The National Map (TNM).
