Service Description: To meet the goals of the 2021 revised Lead and Copper Rules adopted by the US EPA, the City of Savannah is responsible for identifying the material of both public and private water laterals. This survey was developed as one method to collect this data. It allows the public to submit information on the pipes supplying water to their home or business. A short instructional video is included. The information collected will be verified then provided to the public as required.

Subject: This map is to be used for the the collection of water pipe material data from the within the City of Savannah water service area. Data are collected using the Water Lateral Materials Survey via Survey123 and a webmap interface. Data are submitted by city workers, trained volunteers, and the public as a collective effort to assess the presence of lead pipes in water laterals throughout the City of Savannah service areas.The assessment hopes to identify water services that may be made of harmful materials, such as lead so that they can be replaced.
