Description: This model layer represents the combined local Engineering Firms drainage studies for each drainage basin displaying the 100 Year Flood Limits by polygon boundaries. This model layer defines the areas that will be subject to development restrictions referenced in the 2018 Field Drainage Prevention Ordinance.This layer is to provide assistance in identifying specific local areas of problematic drainage resulting from a 100 Year 24 hour storm event.This model layer represents the local hydraulic study (ZONE 'M') of each drainage basin within the City of Savannah. The results of the detail drainage studies take into acount not only the surface runoff calculations, but also the pipe sizes and flow direction of existing underground stormwater conduits including recent CIP Drainage Basin improvement projects that may not have been incorporated into the National DFIRM Flood maps.CITY ZONE 'M' - means an area defined through hydraulic modeling or other standard engineering analysis as described in Article B, Section 8-70 of the Stormwater Field Drainage Prevention Ordinance.A calibrated hydrologic / hydraulic study of each of the drainage basin was performed using the Stormwater program XPSWMM and historic local flooding data to produce each of the 100 Year Flood Plain Limit boundaries.THIS LAYER IS EDITED REGULARLY, WITH MONTHLY REPLICATION.AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON THE SAGIS OPEN DATA WEBSITE (www.sagis.org).
