City of Savannah Water Resources Department has developed the following protocol for private entities to request approval for flushing of water mains in our distribution system. The purpose of this protocol is to ensure that there is a process by which flushing activities can be planned and approved while also ensuring that level of service and operational readiness for the needs of all our customers is continually maintained. This protocol supersedes any previous processes or protocols for communicating flushing activities with City of Savannah Water Resources. This protocol covers the request for flushing water mains. The process of flushing the water mains must separately abide by City of Savannah Specifications (SECTION 02550 - WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM).
