coordinates to record the locations of the fire hydrants within the City of Savannah. This dataset was updated and maintained by the Engineering Department. Sometime between 2000 and 2018, the locations of these hydrants were adjusted for cartographic reasons. It is unknown at this time who adjusted the locations or if there were any other rationale. 2018-06-01T00:00:00 Samantha Smith City of Savannah, Engineering Department GIS Anyalst To rectify the location inaccuracies, the hydrant locations that had GPSed XY locations were plotted and places in a new feature class. Other accurate, edited locations were then added to this new dataset. Lastly, the locations without GPS XYs and edited locations were added to this new feature class. The fields were then edited in accordance to the Water Distribution's Asset Management Team. This was done to ensure that the most accurate known location is plotted.
